We are the first and only brewery in Bloomington history to filter our water and build mineral profiles with reverse osmosis. This means we strip down the extremely hard, local tap water to a pure neutral state, and then build our own mineral profiles per style of beer. For example, the water profile for our German Lager was matched to the Isar River in Germany.
Water is the most abundant, and most important, ingredient in beer. Using reverse osmosis systems and mineral profiles like this is an advanced, cutting-edge technique more often found in beer hubs like Nashville, Denver, and Seattle. And now Bloomington, Indiana!
We are also home to the first and only LUKR faucets in Bloomington, IN. These speciality taps stem from Europe and are ideal for showcasing lagers (our speciality). A ball valve and micro screen help create a uniquely wet, dense head that enhances a beer’s flavor, aroma, and mouthfeel. Cheers!
